THANKSGIVING WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS:

Nelson Baez, Carteret HS, completed 7 of 9 passes for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns as Carteret beat Perth Amboy HS.

Arthur Gilmore, North Plainfield HS, the 6’5″ defensive lineman had 11 tackles in an unfortunate loss to South Plainfield HS.

Joe Picarelli, Roselle Park HS, the athletic defensive lineman had 4 tackles and 2 sacks in a nice win over Roselle HS.

J.T. Valley, North Plainfield HS, the heart of NPHS defensive line had 5 tackles and a fumble recovery in their turkey day loss to South Plainfield HS.

WEEK 12 HIGHLIGHTS:

Tyler Frazee, South Hunterdon Regional HS, our senior QB threw for 80 yards and ran for 74 yards and a TD in a nice win over Palmyra HS.

Ibn Bailey, Immaculata HS, caught 6 passes for 84 yards and 1 touchdown in a unfortunate loss to DePaul Catholic HS.

Dan Calabro, St. John Vianney HS, caught 4 passes for 83 yards in a loss to Delbarton HS during the state semi finals.

DeJohn Rodgers, Matawan Regional HS, caught 4 passes for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns in a close win over Ocean Township HS.

John Phelan, Immaculata HS, completed 21 of 39 passes for 258 yards and 4 touchdowns!  Great job John!

Anthony Brown, St. John Vianney HS, completed 19 of 32 passes for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns in his state semi final game against Delbarton HS.

George Pearson, Matawan Regional HS, completed 12 of 24 passes for 230 yards and 3 touchdowns in a nice win over Ocean Township HS.

Andrew Papantonis, Delbarton HS, rushed 25 times for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns.  He also caught a TD pass and ran a kickoff back 90 yards for a TD.  Awesome job Andrew!

WEEK 11 HIGHLIGHTS:

Anthony Rajoppi, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, who is only a freshman  had 11 tackles in an impressive performance against Newark Collegiate HS.  That’s how you do it Anthony!

Luke Jacobi, J.P. Stevens HS, Luke rushed for a 40-yard touchdown and threw a 30-yard TD in a 44-8 victory over Dickinson in an NJSIAA consolation game in Jersey City.  Nice job Luke!

The Hunterdon Huskies Pee Wee Team, is really representing Let’em Play well…  They won the NJAYF Big East Regional Championship last night against Jackson 24-12.  Let’em Play members include: Jake Taylor, Zac Ambielli, William Schweikert, Craig Zedowski, Brandon Donohue, Preston Krivulka and Bobbie Alparone!  Congrats and Good Luck to the Hunterdon Huskies Pee Wee Team in Florida as they play for the National Championship!

John Apicella, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, completed 15 of 23 passes for 336 and 6 TD’s in an impressive win over Newark Collegiate HS.  You are THE MAN John!!!

Matt Hode, Middlesex HS, rushed only 7 times for 165 yards and 4 TD’s in an awesome win over New Egypt HS.  Great job Matt!

Anthony Brown, St. John Vianney HS, not only can he throw but he can run also…  Anthony rushed 17 times for 151 yards and 1 TD!

T.J. Kanarek, Jonathan Dayton HS, caught 6 passes for 107 yards and 2 TD’s!  T.J. has become one of the states best wide receivers all year!

WEEK 9 HIGHLIGHTS:

Holden Lemon, Montgomery HS, starting right guard for the Montgomery Cougars.  The Cougars are now ranked for the first time in school history at No.18 in the state at 7-1.  Holden and his offensive line teammates are continuously mentioned as the reason for their success.

Anthony Rajoppi, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, will be starting his first varsity football game this weekend as the Bulldogs face The Pingry School.  Anthony is a freshman…  We are very proud of you!

Scot Wasilchak, Valley View High School, Archbald, PA, just finished his junior season with 1,400 yds. and 21 TD’s.  GREAT JOB Scot!!!

Matt Alesandro, Bridgwater-Raritan Regional HS, defensive tackle and had 3 sacks and six assists during their game vs North Hunterdon.  Great job Matt!

Akeer Franklin, Monroe Township HS, had a monster day…  From his RB position Akeer had 170 yards rushing and a touchdown and from his DB position he had three tackles on defense in a losing effort against Old Bridge HS.

Daniel Ffriend, Bound Brook HS, had a big day for Bound Brook HS.  At RB he had five catches for 55 yards and a TD he also ran for 24 yards and a TD.

Ian Fallon, Immaculata HS, this senior LB had 10 tackles in a losing effort against Hunterdon Central Regional HS.

Dejohn Rogers, Matawan Regional HS, Caught 4 passes for 69 yards and returned a fumble 11 yards for a TD.

John Apicella, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, threw 13 passes completing 22 for 251 yards and a touchdown in a winning effort against Manville HS.

George Pearson, Matawan Regional HS, threw 14 passes completing 19 for 190 yards in a nice win against Manasquan HS.

Danny Leinbach, Bound Brook HS, went 8 for 12 with 117 yards and 2 touchdowns in an impressive outing against David Brearley Regional HS.

Tyler Frazee, South Hunterdon Regional HS, continues to impress…  Tyler was 6 for 7 throwing for 116 yards and 1 touchdown in a win against The Pingry School.

Ryan McDonald, North Hunterdon Regional HS, no one worked harder then this young man this past off season and it is showing…  Ryan went 7 for 22 collecting 83 yards in a losing effort against Bridgewater Raritan Regional HS.

Nick Cherasaro, North Plainfield HS, this sophomore QB went 5 for 11 and 83 yards in his third varsity start against Voorhees HS.

T.J. Kanarek, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, had 7 catches for 111 yards in a nice win over Manville HS.

Terrance Young, Iselin Kennedy HS, caught 9 passes for 106 yards in a nice win over Carteret HS.

WEEK 8 HIGHLIGHTS:

The Hunterdon Huskies Pee Wee Team, is really representing Let’em Play well…  They won their first round play off game against Lacey 37-6!  They are moving on to the NJAYF Big East Quarter Finals on Sunday November 2nd.  Let’em Play members include: Jake Taylor, Zac Ambielli, William Schweikert, Craig Zedowski, Brandon Donohue, Preston Krivulka and Bobbie Alparone!  Congrats and Good Luck to the Hunterdon Huskies Pee Wee Team on Nov. 2nd!

John Kressbach, Middlesex HS, made his first JV start for Middlesex against Keansburg and lead his team to a 40-6 victory.  In the game John had an explosive 50 yard TD run!  To think he was a lineman just a few short months ago!

Mike Cresitello, Middlesex HS, made his first varsity appearance at QB where he went on to lead his team over Keansburg 26 – 0.  Mike completed 3 passes in 5 attempts for 89 yards, including a 54-yard bomb to Anthony Marshall. (another Let’em Play member)  Mike also finished as the game’s leading rusher with 71 yards on 11 carries!  Great job Mike!

Let’em Play alumni – Anthonly Cioffi, Rutgers U., had a nice interception in their loss to Nebraska.

Let’em Play alumni – Theo Riddick, Detroit Lions, had a nice touchdown and great one handed catch in their win over Atlanta in London yesterday!

Anthony Brown, St. John Vianney HS, had another great performance this past weekend completing 35 passes for 339 yards and 3 touchdowns in their win over Donovan Catholic 65 – 17.

John Apicella, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, went 18 for 31 for 338 yards in a losing effort against Roselle Park HS.

Ryan McDonald, North Hunterdon Regional HS, had another great night completing 15 passes in 26 attempts for 263 yards and 2 touchdowns.  He also ran 1 in himself!

Tyler Frazee, South Hunterdon Regional HS, continues to impress…  He completed 13 passes in16 attempts for 214 yards!

John Phelan, Immaculata HS, went 11 for 20 and 206 yards in a come from behind victory over Scotch Plains HS.

George Pearson, Matawan Regional HS, had another solid performance going 10 for 22 for 201 yards in their loss to Long Branch HS.

Danny Leinbach, Bound Brook HS, had a great performance leading his team past New Providence HS going 9 for 10 for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns in the air and 1 on the ground!  Awesome job Danny!

T.J. Kanarek, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, had 7 catches for 126 yards on Friday night against Roselle Park HS.

Dan Calabro, St. Jpohn Vianney HS, had 5 catches for 121 yards and 1 touchdown in his teams win against Donovan HS.

Akeer Franklin, Monroe HS, had an outstanding day…  He rushed for 147 yards at RB with 2 touchdowns and he had 1 interception on defense.  Great job Akeer!

James Mania, Hunterdon Central Regional HS, had a very nice day for himself throwing for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns…  1 in the air and 1 he took in himself!

Liam Nelson, Kinnelon HS, ran for 93 yards and a TD and had 15 tackles on defense in a nice win over Whippany Park HS.

Andrew Papantonis, Delbarton HS, ran for 47 yards on offense.  He also had 6 tackles, an interception and several pass break-ups along with a half-sack in their win over Roxbury HS.

John Apicella, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, is the #7 ranked Quarterback in New Jersey – he is currently 109 for 183 and 1291 yards and 11 touchdowns!  Awesome job John!

Anthony Brown, St. John Vianney HS, is the #11 ranked Quarterback in New Jersey – he is currently 73 for 112 and 1175 yards and 15 touchdowns!  His team is currently undefeated!

Ryan McDonald, North Hunterdon Regional HS, is the #15 ranked Quarterback in New Jersey – he is currently 67 for 121 and 1115 and 5 touchdowns!

John Phelan, Immaculata HS, is right behind Ryan at #16.  John is currently 98 for 191 for 1090 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Tyler Frazee, South Hunterdon Regional HS, is ranked #29 at the QB spot going 48 for 91 and 928 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Ibn Bailey, Immaculata HS, is ranked #7 at the Wide Receiver position, in New Jersey, having caught 39 passes for 588 yards and 4 touchdowns!

Dan Calabro, St. John Vianney, is ranked #21 in the state of New Jersey at Wide Receiver where he has 23 catches for 436 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Terrance Young, Iselin Kennedy HS, is ranked #30 in New Jersey having caught 22 passes for 389 yards and 4 touchdowns.

T.J. Kanarek, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, is ranked #41 in New Jersey with 31 catches for 361 yards and 1 touchdown!

WEEK 6 HIGHLIGHTS:

Nick Cherasaro – North Plainfield HS, through for 1 TD and rushed for another in his first career varsity game at QB.  Way to go Nick!!!!!

Brian Flood, Montgomery High School, the DB/K converted all seven of his PATs, had seven tackles and returned an interception for a TD in a big win over Immaculata HS.

Ryan McDonald, North Hunterdon Regional HS, QB threw for 209 yards and a TD and ran for a TD in a victory over Plainfield HS.

Liam Nelson, Kinnelon HS, the RB/LB ran for 88 yards and had 11 tackles on defense in their win over Kittatinny HS.

Andrew Papantonis, Delbarton HS: the WR/DB ran for two TDs and had seven tackles and an interception on defense in helping his team past Randolph HS.

John Apicella, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, continues to impress as he went 26 for 47 for 235 yards and 1 touchdown!

Anthony Brown, St. John Vianney HS, threw 13 times completing 17 passes for 206 yards and 5 touchdowns leading his team past Manchester Township HS.

Darius Brown, Bound Brook HS, the DB returned an interception for a TD in a nice win against The Pingry School.

Brennan Carey, South Hunterdon Regional HS, the DB had nine tackles and three interceptions in their win against Jonathan Dayton Regional HS.

Ben Gomes, Watchung Hills Regional HS, the Warriors LB had 13 tackles in their win against Franklin HS.

Jayson Gonzalez, Roselle Park HS, the LB had 10 tackles and a sack.

Ryan Jensen, Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS, the DL had six tackles and three sacks in their loss against Linden HS.

WEEK 5 HIGHLIGHTS:

Akeer Franklin, Monroe Township HS, rushed for 282 yards and four touchdowns and had five tackles on defense as Monroe beat North Brunswick 36-6.

Andrew Papantonis, Delbarton HS, caught four passes for 114 yards and three TDs and returned an interception for a TD as Delbarton went on to beat Mount Olive 54-13.

John Apicella, Jonathan Dayton Reg. HS, completed 22 passes on 32 attempts for 288 yards and 2 touchdowns in his teams loss to Belvidere.  Currently John is rated #7 in the state of NJ for passing and #2 in the state of NJ for completions!  Congratulations John!

John Phelan, Immaculata High School, went 15 for 21 for 242 yards and 2 touchdowns as Immaculata HS went on to beat Plainfield HS for their first win of the year.

Ryan McDonald, North Hunterdon Regional HS, went 7 for 15 for 219 and a touchdown.  Keep it going Ryan!

George Pearson, Matawan Regional HS, went 11 for 24 for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns as Matawan went on to beat Monmouth HS 28-7.

Tyler Frazee, South Hunterdon Regional HS, rushed 17 times for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns as South Hunterdon went on to beat Bound Brook HS.

George Walton, Bound Brook HS, had 6 catches for 84 yards in a loss to South Hunterdon Regional HS.

Cody Clinebell, Belvidere HS, threw for 90 yards and ran for 60 yards and a TD in a win over Jonathan Dayton Regional HS.

Mekhi Lewis, Bound Brook HS, ran for 64 yards and a TD and had eight tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.

Khalil Haskins, St. John Vianney HS, had 7 tackles on defense and on only two carries gained 76 yards and a rushing touchdown.

 

WEEK 4 HIGHLIGHTS:

Ryan Smolin, Spotswood HS, threw an 84 yard TD strike on their way to a 42-6 win over Highland Park HS.  Way to go Ryan!!

John Appicella, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, threw for 363 yards – 24 for 41 – and four touchdowns as well as one running touchdown in their loss to Brearley HS.

TJ Kanarek, Jonathan Dayton Regional HS, had 106 yards receiving in a tough loss to Brearley HS this past weekend.

Anthony Brown, St. John Vianney, had a great day at QB throwing for 209 yards while going 17 for 28 and 2 touchdowns in their win over Central HS.

George Pearson, Matawan Regional HS, had a nice day throwing for 207 yards going 10 for 20 and 4 touchdowns in their win over Raritan HS.

Danny Leinbach, Bound Brook HS, had a break out game against Roselle Park where he threw for 184 yards going 6 for 9 and 2 touchdowns!  Way to go Danny!

Tyler Frazee, South Hunterdon Regional HS, continues to roll as he went 9 for 21 for 111 yards and 1 touchdown.

Kobe White, Scotch Plains-Fanwood, had a great day rushing 13 times for 208 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Akeer Franklin, Monroe HS, rushed 19 times for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns to help Monroe HS past J.P. Stevens HS.

Anthony Marshall, Middlesex HS, junior standout rushed 8 times for 110 and 2 touchdowns in their 3 straight win over South River HS.  Way to go Anthony!

Ibn Bailey, Immaculata HS, had a great night for the Spartans catching 10 passes for 197 and 2 touchdowns!  Great job Ibn!

Darius Brown, Bound Brook HS, caught 5 passes for 170 yards and 2 touchdowns in a Crusader win over Roselle Park HS.

Ryan McDonald, North Hunterdon Regional HS, continues to light it up for North…  Ryan threw for 181 yards and a TD and ran for 77 yards and a TD in a win over rival Immaculata HS.

Andrew Papantonis, Delbarton HS, returned a kick for a TD in a nice win over West Morris HS.

 

WEEK 3 HIGHLIGHTS:

Tyler Frazee, South Hunterdon Regional HS, rushed for 271 yards and 3 touchdowns and passed for 207 yards with 2 TD passes in their win against Brearly HS.  In week 1 Tyler Frazee threw for 358 yards and 5 TD passes against New Providence.  Way to go Tyler!!

Matt Hode, Middlesex HS, had 10 carries for 107 and a touchdown to help Middlesex HS past Point Beach HS 14-6.  Great job Matt!

Let’em Play Alumni – Anthony Cioffi (Rutgers U.) helped the Scarlet Knights past Navy this past Saturday 31-24…  Keep Choppin Anthony!

Quarterback, David Holder, deserves some recognition for his performance in Bishop Ahr’s 19-18 victory over Woodbridge.  The senior was 6-of-8 for 127 yards and two scores, including the game-winning 47-yard touchdown pass.

Congratulations to Nelsom Baez, the Carteret QB, who threw for 168 yards and a touchdown.

John Kressbach, Freshman QB – Middlesex HS, scored 4 touchdowns in a loosing effort this past week when his freshman team fell to Point Beach HS.

 

WEEK 2 HIGHLIGHTS:

Ryan McDonald, North Hunterdon HS, in his first varsity start, Ryan McDonald, completed 7 of 15 passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 71 yards as well, helping the North Hunterdon Lions defeat Ridge, 38-14, on the road, snapping the reigning North Jersey, Section 2, Group 5 champion’s 12-game winning streak.  Congratulations Ryan!!

Congratulations to Matt Hode and Anthony Marshall of Middlesex High School for helping their team earn their first win of the season against Highland Park High School.

Congratulations to Ryan Smolin for a great game over Dunellen High School where he lead the Chargers to a 28 – 14 victory for their first win of the season!

Congratulations to Kyle Jordan, Let’em Play alumni.  Currently at the U. of Albany – last week Kyle, a senior linebacker served as a spark and game-changer, forcing two fumbles, including the game-winner, and finished with nine tackles, including five solo against Holy Cross.

Tyler Fischer was 5 for 5 in PAT’s as Central Bucks South H.S. defeated their district rival Central Bucks East High School.  He leads the Suburban One National Conference in kick-off yards, average yards per punt and in kicking points.  Congratulations Tyler!!!
